Hair extensions are becoming more and more popular. I'm sure you have noticed how celebrities such as Cheryl Cole manage to have thick, flowing locks that look silky and shiny... Well, that is what hair extensions can achieve.
Hair extensions are now more accessible because the technology has improved rapidly. There are now methods such as prebonds, microbonds, micro rings and shrinkies used for permanent hair extensions. This means, as a mobile hair extensionist, I can offer my clients a totally new look, at a reasonable cost.
- My clients ask for their hair extensions to look natural. They want the new hair to blend in with their own hair; they want it thick and they want it long! With the range of products available now, this is 100% achievable for all clients.
- Please go to my 'Lots of Info on hair' page to learn more about what's available
If you are based in Brighton or Sussex and you want to know
more about hair extensions, then you can avail of a free, no obligation
consultation by calling me on 07916 546 899!
As you would expect, there
are different ways to apply hair extensions. I am happy to explain the
differences between the methods and let you decide what might suit you
best.. .. ..
As a mobile hair
extensionist, I specialise in four techniques for permanent hair
extensions application.
Methods for
applying hair extensions:
- Fusion micro bonding;
where keratin-based resin or 'glue' is used to apply about 200 bonds of
new hair. The bonds are no larger than a grain of rice, and are not
visible when the hairdo is complete. This is a versatile method, as I
can mix the hair to guarantee the perfect colour match. Although the no
glue methods are increasingly popular, this fusion micro bonding
technique (with glue) is still the most versatile method as it allows
colour blending of hair prior to the application. I can use several
base colours and mix them, if necessary, to create a colour that matches
your hair perfectly. This method is usually necessary for those
clients with highlighted, multi-tonal hair. Many hair extensionist only
offer the pre-bonded technique, which is less skilled and faster to do -
they are limited in what they can offer. 8 out of 10 of the clients I
have choose the microbonding technique because it offers them the
perfect colour match they need.
-
Micro ring
method; where the hair is applied using tiny plastic micro
rings, which have a silicone inner that secures the new hair to your
hair. The micro ring method is therefore a glue free method, which some
clients prefer. This micro ring hair comes pre-tipped with a shoe
lace-like tip. So, this method is only suitable for those clients with
hair that is one colour. Because the hair is secured with rings, the
hair extensions can be refixed along the hair shaft time and time again,
meaning that this method usually lasts longer and can be more
economical in the long term. With the hair I supply, most clients can
use the hair for 8 months (2 fittings) - this saves them money in the
end! Have a look at my price page to see how much the re-application of
microrings will be!
- Prebonds; where
the prebonded hair comes tipped with keratin resin or 'glue' and is
applied with a heat connector. This method is similar to the fusion
micro bonding method except that colour blending is not possible, as the
hair strands are tied in to the glue tip already. This technique is
widely used, but it is a less versatile and is a less skilled procedure
than the fusion micro bonding technique.
- Shrinkies; shrinkies are little
plastic tubes - they are used with the shoe-lace tipped hair (like the
micro-ring method) where the strand is attached to your hair with a heat
connector which shrinks the plastic. They are easily removed by
re-heating the plastic which makes in un-shrink again!
No damage occurs to your own hair with any of
these methods, if professionally applied and removed.
- Micro ring weft; If you
would like a more temporary method of hair extensions then I offer the
micro ring weft method. This method lasts for 1 month. A weft of hair
is attached in a strip using small rings to attach.
- Skin weft; I also offer a skin weft - this is a
temporary method that lasts for one month.
Hair
types for hair extenisons:
There are different types of hair to choose from
too.
- You may have heard the term 'Remy' or
'cuticle-correct' before? Well, if you want to know more about this,
look at my Lots of Info on Hair page, or simply
call me. In short, Remy is a quality mark of sorts. Remy hair is good
quality hair. Non-remy hair is poor quality hair. Getting the right
quality of hair is essential to obtaining a quality, natural hairdo. We
can arrange a free consultation, or just talk on the phone...
- Hair is sourced from different places - so you can buy
Indian remy hair, Brazilian hair, European hair etc etc.. these
different types of hair allow you a choice of textures to suit your
needs.
If you are confused by all the
information you find out there about hair extensions - then, just call
me on 07916546899 and we can have a free consultation - that's the
easiest way to learn more about hair extensions.
I am an experienced mobile hair
extensionist, so I've obviously been able to work with lots of different
types and brands of hair.
I have sourced excellent
quality Indian Remy hair, European Remy hair, Brazilian Virgin hair and
an Indian Temple Remy hair which is very lightly processed. I am happy
to recommend any of these to my clients and will offer you advice based
on what result you want to achieve. I carry a stock of hair, as I buy
it wholesale, so I can post a sample to you, or we can arrange a free consultation so you can see the kind
of quality Remy hair that I work with. I am happy to leave the sample
with you so you can wash it and style it and see if it will look good
over time.
I guarantee a perfect colour
match.
